Work At Home Opportunity Broker

With this opportunity you’ll be recruiting freelance home workers for various positions that you know you’re able to fill. You’re rewards for brokering the work will be the difference in the wages you offer and what you receive for payment. I’m acquainted with many freelancers who have set out to offer services in one area or another and found brokering opportunities much more to their liking.

Perhaps the best thing about being an opportunity broker is that you don’t really need any particular freelance skills other than the ability to coordinate the talents of one individual with the needs of another.

I recently saw an ad in an online freelancers forum where a proofreader was willing to take on any and all jobs for free. Why? He was looking to build his resume so he’d qualify for better assignments. What if you had a paid proofreading assignment waiting? Could you have this individual take the assignment? I don’t see why not. The only thing he’s looking for is feedback and another gig for his resume.

You’ll see lots of ads on CraigsList where people are looking to beef up their resumes and willing to work for free or nearly free to get endorsements. I also see plenty of ads that read:

Build Your Resume With This Unpaid ____________ Gig. Fill in the blank. I know of one freelance opportunity broker who places these ads every day and always has dozens of people on hand to take assignments, assignments that he’s paid for. Obviously, you’re not going to pay the provider as much as you’re going to charge the person needing the work. That’s how you get paid, on the margin in between.

So the question is, where do you find the jobs? Pretty much in the same places you’re going to be finding the people who will perform the work. Try doing a search on freelance jobs or freelance opportunities and then plug in the specialty like typing, voiceover, Web design, or whatever you need. There are plenty of people out there willing to work. Why not make it your business to assemble a stable of reliable freelancers and then go out looking for gigs?

The main skill you’ll need for this type of work is the ability to coordinate tasks and stay on top of your people in getting the work done in a timely fashion. This usually isn’t difficult if you’re willing to maintain close contact with your clients.

Work At Home Opportunity Brokering can be a very lucrative endeavor, as some people seem to have a natural ability for finding opportunities. The only skill you’ll need is the ability to locate paying opportunities because the people to fill them can be found almost everywhere.
