The Lazy Way To Overcome Procrastination

Interesting title, huh? We’ll get to that in a minute. But first I want to ask you a question and the answer should seem quite obvious. If you were to come upon an individual standing on the sidewalk beating on his own head with a big stick, what would you do?

You’d try your hardest to stop him from hurting himself wouldn’t you? Of course you would. A more analytical individual might first ask this person why he’s pounding on his own head but that would be silly under the circumstances. The point is to stop the behavior.

With that in mind, why would anyone spend months and even years trying to figure out the reason he isn’t motivated? The answer you’ll most often get is that knowing the cause can help in finding a remedy. And there may actually be some truth to that. But knowing the origin of procrastination behavior isn’t at all necessary in overcoming procrastination.

Dealing With The Procrastination Troll
I have up close and personal experience with dealing with the procrastination troll. And it wasn’t at all necessary to know why I wasn’t motivated before. But before I go into that I’m actually going to offer a likely reason that most people procrastinate. Here it is:

Studies show that people who show a lack of motivation have often been criticized as children. That’s it in a nutshell. Once a person is unduly criticized he or she will often stop trying new things to avoid the discomfort or scorn associated with failure. Let’s face it, no one wants to go through life with someone or everyone hounding them. And once a pattern of avoiding criticism is established it often develops into procrastination behavior.

Is Hypnosis The Answer?
Pretty simple, huh? So what’s the answer, and for heaven’s sake, what is the lazy way to overcome procrastination all about? That’s simple too. It's about hypnosis. See, everyone, regardless of how they were treated as children has a hidden dream or desire living right under the surface.

Some call it their life’s purpose, some refer to it as their calling but whatever it’s called, we all have it. And when you begin living to realize your true purpose in life procrastination simply melts away.

Lots of people will deny that there’s anything special they were meant to do but that simply isn’t true. We all have a special purpose. And do you know what? Discovering your purpose is well within your grasp with self hypnosis.

Positive Affirmations Are Old News
Here’s the nugget: You can easily overcome procrastination when you have found your true calling because life then takes on meaning and becomes exciting. And you can find your true calling simply by asking your subconscious mind what it is. That’s a whole lot more effective than repeating motivational slogans and pretending to be motivated.

It’s true that the thing you’re supposed to be doing is well within your reach. In fact, it’s usually something that you’ve secretly wanted for a long time. It could be that you want to train horses or play the violin. Or maybe you have a secret talent for a certain artistic or even technical profession but haven’t had the initiative to go after it.

But with hypnosis you’ll find it difficult not to pursue your purpose. And when you get on the path of purpose you’ll discover tremendous energy and enthusiasm is yours. Sounds strange, doesn’t it? That’s because you’ve not been able to identify with it in the first person before. But have you ever seen someone absolutely set on fire with passion?

The Power Of Purpose Is The Key
That’s because they’re living their dream and nothing can stop them. And guess what? They easily toss procrastination on the junk heap in the process.
