Instant Stress Relief With Waking Hypnosis

Have you ever had one of those days where you just wished you could just turn around and crawl back in the sack? Silly question, huh? We’ve all had them. But there’s no need to go home and hide when we face a trying day. There’s something much easier and more productive you can do to turn your day around. It’s called waking hypnosis and it’s actually easy to do.

If you’re experiencing neck or back pain or simply feel stressed, fatigued or unresourceful you can easily renew yourself in a few minutes and feel completely fresh and free from tension. Here’s how the process works.

Your subconscious will give you anything you want, including relief from stress or tension. But to implant curative suggestions in your subconscious mind you first have to occupy your conscious mind.

Otherwise you’d be giving yourself positive suggestions like ‘your neck and back are completely free of tension and the muscles are loose and flexible, and the conscious part of you would be saying things like, “Oh, yeah? I don’t think so. So lets see how we can occupy your conscious mind (I like to call the conscious mind the gatekeeper) so you can get to feeling better.

Here’s a little exercise you can do to occupy the conscious mind: Close your eyes, and while your eyes are closed, pretend you can’t open them. And while you’re pretending you can’t open your eyes, try and open them. That’s it. If you follow the instructions, your conscious mind will be busy enough to allow the positive suggestions to take effect and you’ll be feeling better immediately. Go ahead and try it right now. It’s easy.

Once you’re engaged in the eye exercise, which is actually very simple, give yourself the following suggestions:

  • I am free of tension, stress and frustration
  • I am the picture of peace and tranquility
  • I face the day with unlimited energy and resourcefulness
  • I always do the best work I can with the resources available

That’s it. Repeat those four lines for a couple of minutes while doing the eye exercise above and you’ll immediately feel much better. And be sure to repeat them in the affirmative. Don’t say something like, I don’t have tension anymore.

The subconscious has a tendency to ignore the negative (don’t) and will read that suggestion as just the opposite of what you’re after. The waking hypnosis technique is a great way to straighten out a day that is straying off the path.  In fact, it might be a good idea to do the exercise before you start the day. Be well.
